I was the Lead Environment Artist on The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners - Chapter 2: Retribution. In addition to my responsibilities as lead, I worked closely with Senior Environment Artist; Brett Lo to created a set of buildings for the French Quarter area of New Orleans. Each building uses a single, atlased-texture and a single material in order to reduce drawcalls. The material included several masks for tinting different elements on the buildings, giving us the ability to generate greater variety across our levels. Grime was acheived through an additional UV channel. We created the balconies as separate, interchangeable assets. Multiple LODs were hand-crafted for each asset in the game to accommodate the variety of hardware platforms the game shipped on. https://www.artstation.com/brettlo
